Livin' on in Vain

from Electric Judas! by Jeffrey Dallet

lyrics

Blackbird flies high, yet I’ve been living under her high heels half my life. I bought my ticket to her violence, drank from her tears, and choked on her silence. Still she wins, and she reigns, takes so much pleasure in my pain laughing as my love lives on in vain.

Still I crawl, peddling for love’s remains at her feet and getting nothing at all. It feels so good, when that mean woman finally gives to you what she should. But it strips my pride, leaves only shame as she’ll punk me out again, cracking as my love live on in vain.

Oh somebody save me from myself. as I take the needle to my vein, and shoot it with her gorgeous legs. I’m slipping away, aging at the pace of time, while her razor wolf eyes eat me alive

Oh tell me it ain’t true, that I’ve slaved over getting nothing from you. Give me one more roll of the dice, at a beggars chance of you even treating me nice. As I pine for and I crave, that wicked loving you hardly gave, that keeps me livin’ on in vain.
